Inasmuch is participating in Cumberland Community Foundation’s GivingTuesday campaign, an opportunity to amplify your gifts with matching funds provided by CCF and a group of generous matching donors.

The giving window will open at 9:00am on November 24 and run through 11:50pm on December 2.
Why give?

We are located in the third poorest zip code in NC (28301). According to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, 32% of the population lives in poverty, 42% of males are unemployed, and 48% have less than a 9th grade education.

According to the NC Housing Coalition, 37% are cost-burdened (more than 30% of income pays for housing) and Cumberland County ranks 13th in renter evictions in the state.

According to the 2023 Annual Homelessness Assessment Report to Congress, 375 are homeless in Cumberland County. Of that, 82% are unsheltered, the highest rate in the United States among other largely urban continuums of care.

Inasmuch provides the following humanitarian services to the chronically homeless and struggling: showers, laundry, a daily breakfast, Wednesday sick call, distribution of hygiene items, and case management at our satellite office at the Day Resource Center.

We offer the Living Hope Program to situationally homeless men, which lifts them from government assistance to financial independence, providing wholistic, wrap-around services to include trauma management. This is the only such program in our region.

We ministered to 1,436 unique individuals in 2023, 96 who were in our Living Hope Program.
How to Give

Please make your check payable to “Cumberland Community Foundation” with “Giving Tuesday – Inasmuch” in the memo line.
Any checks mailed to CCF in advance of November 24th MUST be postdated. CCF will hold your check until the week of Giving Tuesday for deposit.
Checks not dated within November 24th – December 2nd or do not note “Giving Tuesday – Inasmuch” in the memo line will not be amplified by CCF.
Checks must be received by CCF by end of day December 2, 2025 to be eligible for the match.
Mail checks to Cumberland County Foundation, PO Box 2345, Fayetteville, NC 28302.
Deliver a check to CCF at 308 Green Street, Fayetteville, NC 28301. Parking and office entry are at the back of the building. After 5pm, and when the office is closed, please drop donation checks in the mail slot at the front of the building. The office will be closed on November 27 and November 28.
OR, you can drop off your checks at Inasmuch Headquarters, 531 Hillsboro Street. However, we must have the checks by NOON, December 2nd so we can transport them to CCF in time for the campaign’s end.

You can easily recommend a grant for this campaign from your donor advised fund. Be sure to make your grant recommendation by 11:59pm on December 2 in order for r our distribution to be eligible for the CCF match.
CCF donor advised fund holders may recommend grants in a variety of ways: via mail, email, phone, or fax. For assistance with your donor advised fund, please contact Maddie Kellogg at Maddie@cumberlandcf.org.

Make a grant recommendation out of your donor advised fund to CCF for the Giving Tuesday campaign. It is helpful to inform CCF staff of the gift so that they can ensure prompt and accurate gift processing. Notify your plan administrator in time for the gift to arrive no later than December 2.

CCF welcomes gifts of stocks or other marketable securities from any brokerage firm. Call (910) 483-4449 or send an email to Gifts@CumberlandCF.org for instructions. Stock gifts must be received into CCF’s account no later than December 2, 2025 to qualify for the match.

Donors 70.5 or older may make gifts directly from their IRA to Cumberland Community Foundation (Tax ID 58-1406831) for Inasmuch as part of the Giving Tuesday campaign.
It is helpful to inform CCF staff when you have an IRA gift to Inasmuch on the way so that they can ensure prompt and accurate gift processing. We recommend initiating this transaction as early as possible to ensure it is received by December 2 at 11:59pm. IRA distributions may be received any time in November.
We completely rely on private donations and foundation grants. We accept no government funding.
We are in a grant desert; few state foundations will fund Cumberland County.
We are financially responsible. We own all of our properties with no mortgages or liens, and we have a Platinum Seal rating from Guide Star.
