Be a part of GivingTuesday - a global day of giving!

Inasmuch is participating in Cumberland Community Foundation’s GivingTuesday campaign, an opportunity to amplify your gifts with matching funds provided by CCF and a group of generous matching donors.

Supporting Inasmuch during the GivingTuesday campaign means your gift will be amplified!

The giving window will open at 9:00am on November 24 and run through 11:59pm on December 2.

Why give?

  • We are located in the third poorest zip code in NC (28301). According to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, 32% of the population lives in poverty, 42% of males are unemployed, and 48% have less than a 9th grade education.

  • According to the NC Housing Coalition, 37% are cost-burdened (more than 30% of income pays for housing) and Cumberland County ranks 13th in renter evictions in the state.

  • According to the 2023 Annual Homelessness Assessment Report to Congress, 375 are homeless in Cumberland County. Of that, 82% are unsheltered, the highest rate in the United States among other largely urban continuums of care.

  • Inasmuch provides the following humanitarian services to the chronically homeless and struggling: showers, laundry, a daily breakfast, Wednesday sick call, distribution of hygiene items, and case management at our satellite office at the Day Resource Center.

  • We offer the Living Hope Program to situationally homeless men, which lifts them from government assistance to financial independence, providing wholistic, wrap-around services to include trauma management. This is the only such program in our region.

  • We ministered to 1,436 unique individuals in 2023, 96 who were in our Living Hope Program.

How to Give

We completely rely on private donations and foundation grants. We accept no government funding.

We are in a grant desert; few state foundations will fund Cumberland County.

We are financially responsible. We own all of our properties with no mortgages or liens, and we have a Platinum Seal rating from Guide Star.
